Starting requirements
Quest giver: Ava
A venue's menu lists the dishes it sells. Learn a recipe, then add it to that venue's menu to prepare it for sale. Personal ingredients are separate from venue stock, so transfer purchases into the venue.

1Find a cab to Meridian Market
Take a taxi to Meridian Market. Thaddeus Carminus is waiting at the noodle bar there.
2Talk to Thaddeus Carminus

3Place the tables
Place the 2 tables you received inside Ramen Noir.
Controls and steps
- Enter the target venue or room and open furniture placement mode.
- Select the required type from your belongings or the furniture available for the request, then choose a position and place it.
Check:Close placement mode. Check that the required furniture remains in the room and review the objective in the Journal.
4Place the chairs
Select chairs in the venue's placement mode and place 4 beside the tables. Leave clear paths so customers can reach the seats.
5Add a dish to the menu
Add at least 1 dish to sell. The starting dish is Chicken Noodle Soup.
Controls and steps
- Interact with the venue panel inside the venue and open the menu.
- Select the recipe for the dish or drink, then choose Add to Menu.
Check:Registration is complete when the item appears in that venue's menu list. Learning the recipe alone does not add it.
6Talk to Banor
Talk to Banor and advance this quest's dialogue.
7Buy ingredients
Open the Shopping List to check ingredients missing from your selected dish. The default PC key is L. Buy onions, ramen noodles and chicken at the market. If you changed controls, use the assigned Shopping List key.
Completion requirements: for each of onions, ramen noodles and chicken, carry at least 8 OR stock at least 3 in the venue; also have at least 1 dish on the menu. All three ingredient requirements must be met.
8Restock the venue
Put at least 3 onions, 3 ramen noodles and 3 chicken into venue stock.
Controls and steps
- Interact with Ramen Noir's fridge or storage furniture.
- Select the ingredients in your personal inventory and transfer the required quantity into venue stock.
Check:Check the quantity on the venue side after transferring. Personal belongings and ingredients available for venue cooking are separate.
Completion requirements: venue stock must contain at least 3 onions, 3 ramen noodles and 3 chicken.
9Return to Banor
The tables, chairs, menu and ingredients are ready.
10Get recipe tips from Nola Berg
Ask Nola Berg about dishes and recipes. If you receive a recipe, continue to the next owner.
11Get recipe tips from Dagmar Fitz
Ask Dagmar Fitz about recipes. Check dialogue options to expand the recipes you can obtain.
12Get recipe tips from Marius Mitchell
Ask Marius Mitchell about recipes, then report to Banor after the investigation.
13Talk to Banor
Report to Banor after finishing recipe research.
14Hire a waiter
Assign a waiter to Ramen Noir so there are at least 2 employees including Banor.
Controls and steps
- Use the recruitment board, choose a candidate and hire them.
- Assign the employee to Ramen Noir and select Waiter in Staff and Work Schedule.
- Set working hours. Schedule cooks and waiters to work at the same time.
Check:Check each employee's venue, role and working hours in the venue's staff list. Hiring alone does not change an existing assignment to another venue or job.
Completion requirements: at least 1 waiter and at least 2 employees in total.
15Banor has an idea
If counter seating is short, ask Banor about additional seats.
Requirement for this objective: 2 or fewer counter seats.
16Buy bar stools
Buy 3 bar stools from venue-furniture merchant Liddy Evans in Meridian Market. Choose counter stools rather than ordinary chairs.
Requirement for this objective: 2 or fewer counter seats.
17Place bar stools
Open placement mode in Ramen Noir, select the purchased bar stools and install 3 at usable counter positions. They are separate from ordinary table chairs.
Requirement for this objective: 2 or fewer counter seats.
18Report to Banor.
Return to report to Banor.
Choices and cautions
- Transfer at least 3 each of onions, noodles and chicken into venue stock rather than only carrying them. Reporting recipe research requires at least 2 unlocked recipes. Install 3 bar stools.
- Steps may include parallel objectives and alternative routes determined by your choices.
Completion requirements
Prepare the venue, collect recipes, hire staff, add counter seating and finish reporting to Banor.

- Achievement points on success: 1
